Introducing Lynn Van Asseldonk, Registered Clinical Counsellor
Lynn provides nature-based mental health counselling. Through her decade long journey in full time practice, Lynn has become an iconic healer. She caters to people who are looking to reduce depression, manage anxiety, heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, enhance overall well-being and spiritual wellness, or to realign career goals.
Lynn has a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria, following a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) Lynn is a member of the BCACC professional association and adheres to strict professional guidelines for confidentiality, ongoing training and updating, and ethical practice. Lynn works mainly with adults and she has a strong background in mental health assessment and crisis intervention.
Therapy sessions may include outdoor counselling sessions, counselling sessions in the VHHC office or the garden office, or occasional equine-facilitated sessions. Being in nature and with animals can help us to get back in touch with our authentic selves and can assist us in healing, reconnecting, and finding a deeper sense of peace and meaning in an often hectic world. Nature-based counselling sessions with Lynn will support you in finding a healthy balance between effort and surrender while honouring your natural strengths and resilience. You can work with Lynn in the greater Victoria area and in the Cowichan Valley.
Counselling work with Lynn is equally appropriate for masculine and feminine people, is LGBTQ-friendly, and relationship counselling is also available for polyamorous people.
